LONG Lane Junior Football Club’s annual Easter tour to Great Yarmouth proved to be a big success with more than over 350 members of the Greenwich club making the trip.
Five Long Lane teams reached the finals with some mixed results.
The U13 Pumas, and U11 and U12 girls all won their competitions, while the U13 Tigers and U10 Lions finished as runners-up.
In addition, the club also won two sportsmanship awards, which were awarded to the U11 Tigers and the U11 girls.
Long Lane U11 girls were taking part in their very first club tour and were delighted to come away as both cup winners and sportsmanship winners.
Team manager Mick Northwood said: “I am delighted and very proud of the girls because they played some fantastic football and more importantly played the game in the right way, making many friends along the way.
“It was a fantastic tournament and all the players and parents were a credit to the club.”
