Burgess Hill 1 v 6 Dartford
Ryman Division One South
DARTS romped to an open day victory, writes Mike Brett-Smith.
As early as the sixth minute Ryan Briggs fired just over from a corner.
Two minutes later newcomer John Farley headed out of defence to May who slotted home just inside Hillians left post.
Any chance of the hosts hitting back foundered on the solid Darts' rearguard in which skipper Tommy Osborne operated on the right and Farley on the left.
On 15 minutes Brendon Cass hit a low right-side cross which squeezed inside the left post.
Just before the break it was game, set and match when May converted a left-side corner.
After the hour Cass headed a left-wing cross into the roof of an unguarded goal.
Cass got his hat-trick after Farley headed a corner goalwards and the striker guided it over the line.
After a flurry of substitutions Cass scored a well-taken sixth for the Darts, cutting in from the left and firing home into the far corner.
There remained time for Jarvis to get onto the scoresheet for Town and Darts to rattle the bar twice more.
