OLD Bromleains FC has undertaken a restructuring of their youth set up following a merger between the club and Junior Sports FC.
The link up means all Old Bromleains sides from U7 to U18 level now play under the name of Junior Bromleains, making it a more community-based club within the borough.
Old Bromleains was founded by former students from Ravensbourne School in 1922 and the recent merger with Junior Sports FC has the full backing of the school’s head teacher and board of governors.
It has been a long-term goal for both parties in recent years to put together a venture where both facilities at the school and coaching staff can be utilised between the two.
As well as sides from U7 to U18 level, a further four Saturday men’s teams, one Sunday men’s outfit and a Sunday ladies’ squad means the club can now boast a total of 20 sides offering football from the earliest age groups to adults and veterans.
The club has two UEFA B licensed coaches, along with several others qualified at Level 2 and Level 1.
