VCD Athletic have continued their hectic schedule of matches prior to the Kent Senior Trophy final with two more victories.

Before the April 9 Kent showcase final, VCD had faced five matches in 15 days.

Now the outstanding games number just two with three victories already achieved.

As reported in News Shopper, Martin Ford's men began the fixture back-log with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Hythe Town on March 25.

Two days later they travelled to Deal Town where a strike from Danny Penny and a Mark Greatorex brace secured a 3-1 win.

On March 29 Vickers were on the road again to Sporting Bengal but signs of fatigue were non existant as they ran out convincing 5-1 winners.

A hat-trick from Rickey Bennett, plus goals from Kevin Winchcombe and Mark Horan, lifted VCD Athletic to sixth in the Kentish Observer Kent League.

Ford's men face Slade Green on Saturday and travel to Herne Bay on Tuesday evening.

Then it is off to the Welling United's ground, Park View Road, on April 9 for the Kent Senior Trophy final against Tunbridge Wells, kick off 3pm.
