Burman told fans on the club's official website: "I felt all the players individually and above all as a team had a real go and showed determination to win the game from start to finish.
"In our recent poor run I think we should have got more out of the games against Barking, Enfield Town, Wingate and definitely Corby than we did.
"On Saturday we should have finished off our opponents before they equalized but we did not cave in and managed to get a point from the game."
He added: "Slowly but surely the confidence will come back into the team and the little bit of luck which as been missing may change in our favour.
"The teams above us now have all the pressure and will start looking over their shoulders to see who's behind them."
Burman also revealed how he gambled with the formation on Saturday.
He said: "I decided to change the formation slightly and play 4-3-3 bringing in Dave and Ryan from their normal wide positions to play along side Brendan.
"It was a bit of a gamble but I felt it gave our opponents something to think about with the pace they were up against."
He also praised the fans saying: "On Friday I asked for the supporters to be our 12th man at the game, some posters were suggesting the vocal support was below par, and let me tell you from the dug out it sounded very good.
"Your efforts and those of the players helped us to gain a point on two of the sides above us.
"Well done, lets stick together, and who knows what might happen?"
