Met Police 1 v 0 Cray
Ryman Division One
KEVIN Cooper's neatly-taken goal in the 13th minute was enough for Met Police to win a drab affair, writes Jerry Dowlen.
Wands were without 21-goal top-scorer Jon Main, who has joined Tonbridge Angels, and then lost Gary Abbott to injury after just eight minutes.
This forced the introduction of Michael Power who has only just come off the Wands' extensive injury list.
Adding illness to injury, new signing Matt Lovell is in quarantine with mumps.
Cray had two chances to equalise.
Ian Rawlings was unlucky to see his toe-poke go over the bar and David Gray was denied a tap in by a last-gasp clearance.
Chances continued to be scarce in the second half and Cray's best opportunity fell to Jamie Wood but he was offside.
