Orpington 0 v 2 Holmesdale
British Energy Kent County League, Division 1 (West)
FOLLOWING a four week absence Orpington returned to league action but could not avoid sliding to a 2-0 defeat at home to Holmesdale.
Orpington had their fair share of chances but lacked the finishing in front of goal.
The visitors looked more comfortable on the ball and it was no surprise when they opened the scoring after half-an-hour.
Rob Quick was looking Orpington's main hope with a number of long range efforts just wide of the target.
But Holmesdale stretched their lead midway through the second-half from the penalty spot.
Holmesdale could have added a third from a further penalty on 85 minutes but the effort was well wide.
This Saturday, Orpington are once again at home to Larkfield in the league.
