Bromley 2 v 3 Slough
Ryman Premier
BROMLEY'S season of up and downs continued after they gave up a two-goal lead in a harrowing second half display.
Having eased in front of Slough Town thanks to Kevin George's and Jones Awuah's first-half strikes the Lillywhites capitulated in dramatic fashion.
Second half goals from John Mousinho, Garth McCleary and an injury-time winner from Ian Hodges completed the come back.
There was more bad news for Bromley boss George Wakeling after his buccaneering winger Sam Wood was stretchered off.
Bromley had the ball in the net on seven minutes but Nic McDonnell was ruled off side as he nodded in George's cross.
McDonnell then squandered two quick chances shooting the rebound from Wood's drive wide and volleying Wood's cross in the same direction.
Slough had their first chance on 25 minutes when Hodges' flick on beyond the stranded Andy Walker was cleared off the line by Joe Vines.
Bromley opened the scoring when, on 35 minutes, Gardner's long freekick into the area found Wood and his low cross was netted smartly by George.
Awuah made it 2-0 by turning Tutu Henriques' cross past Clark Masters and at half time Bromley were in charge.
The hosts started the second 45 minutes brightly but on 57 minutes Slough got the break through.
Leigh Mason fed the ball to McCleary who was given the freedom of the penalty area to set up Mousinho to poke home from six yards.
Wood's involvement ended after Mousinho blocked the tiny winger's run illegally, earning himself a yellow card and Wood the injury.
Walker needed to be alert to save from Josias Carbon but did equalise when McCleary raced onto a through ball and, having turned inside the defence, fired low in the net.
Gardner almost scored with a cracking header but Masters saved well.
The defining moment came on 93 minutes when Andy Ballard's measured shot rebounded off the post and Slough's Hodges was quickest to the rebound to clinch all three points.
