by Patrick Harris
BROMLEY'S involvement in the London Senior Cup came to an end after one game in front of barely 50 people at Imber Court.
Playing 5-2-3 Bromley's attacking formation left them open at the back and former AFC Wimbledon striker Kevin Cooper cashed in with a hat trick.
The Ravens started brightly with Adam Locke going close and Nic McDonnell putting keeper Stuart MacKenzie under pressure.
Kevin George opened the scoring on 12 minutes with a great strike from 25 yards which flew past the static keeper.
The Met soon came back into things and equalised from a corner on 23 minutes when Dave Newman was on hand to turn the ball in.
MacKenzie went off injured soon after and was replaced by youngster Rob Vella.
On 33 minutes The Met went in front when Tutu Henriques was caught in possession and Cooper scored from the edge of the box.
Bromley were under pressure for the rest of the half with Andy Walker making a great save from a header.
The second half saw Locke go off for Steve Potterill and Jones Awuah come on for Simon Parker with Bromley switching to 4-4-2.
Just after the hour mark Bromley equalised when McDonnell ran through the home defence before hitting the ball with the outside of his foot through the keeper's legs for 2-2.
The Met then came back at Bromley and Walker had to make two great saves and Cooper hit the bar.
As the game flowed from end to end Austin Gacheru went close twice and McDonnell hit the post for The Ravens before Cooper was more clinical on 82 minutes and put the Met back in front.
As Bromley pushed for an equaliser they were caught out at the back again but Cooper hit his effort over.
Walker's goal kick went straight back to the striker and he hit the target for his hat trick and seal a 4-2 victory.
