BROMLEY assistant boss Hayden Bird praised the squad after Saturday’s emphatic 4-0 Hayes Lane triumph over Weymouth.
He said: “We were delighted to win on Saturday and were equally pleased to play well.
“It’s been a difficult month and I would like to thank our fans for sticking by us.
“We owed the Bromley supporters a good performance and we were pleased to send them home happy.”
“Although Weymouth are clearly struggling, we were satisfied the quality of our football.
“On a difficult pitch, the team passed the ball well and created a number of opportunities.
“Everyone contributed to a good result and although Ashley won the man of the match, I think Ryan Hall deserves a mention.
“With Harrison Dunk, Ryan Dolby and Arron Fray all unavailable, and Tutu Henriques struggling with a calf strain, Ryan filled in as the fifth choice left back.
“Although the position is alien to him, I thought he was exceptional.”
Bird added: “Yes, we have had a terrible month but nothing has been anything fundamentally wrong.
“The confidence of the players has obviously been affected, however the spirit in the dressing room and the attitude on the training ground has always been excellent.
“We have stuck together and winning 4-0 has boosted everyone.
“Although we are far from getting carried away, we will now go into our upcoming fixtures with a spring on our step.”
