HOT on the heels of the success of the U9 boys’ team, Orpington FC’s U15 girls have clinched the Selkent League title.

Team manager Andy Lyons was overjoyed at his team’s success.

He said: “The girls won all of their games, which was just reward for the tremendous hard work they put into their training during the season.

“There is a terrific team spirit and the girls are proud to wear the shirt and enjoy their football.”

Chairman Jeff Cockburn added: “I am really proud of the girls’ success, which shows Orpington FC is taking its community charter standard very seriously.

“Hopefully the success of the U15s will spark interest in establishing more girls’ teams within our club.”
