CONSTRUCTION workers are being invited to build on their success by entering a team in next month’s David Beckham Academy Construction Cup in Greenwich.
The five-a-side competition is open to any company involved in the construction industry from building to architecture and takes place at the Academy on September 16.
Each team is permitted to have a total of eight players and eight spectators present, with all attendees receiving refreshments and the chance to play or watch a team of legends, including Ray Parlour, Paul Allen, Kerry Dixon and Lee Sharpe.
The winning team of the overall competition will also take home the prestigious David Beckham Academy Construction Cup Trophy.
This is the fourth year the Construction Cup has taken place and participants have included representatives from all walks of the construction industry, from trades such as building, plumbing, and painting to solicitors, developers and planners.
The cost to enter is £750 per side and payment can be direct to SHINE, the David Beckham Academy’s official charity, which means corporate social responsibility budgets can be utilised.
