CRAGGS Farm went 11 points clear at the top of the Gravesend League Premier Division following a 2-0 away win over Lullingstone Castle.

In a very good even game where defences were on top, Craggs had the sharpshooters in Tony Swann and Dan Berry to thank for the three points.

Viewpoint came up against old rivals in The Old Prince of Orange at the AEI ground and a superb game which was a credit to Premier Division ensued.

With a 0-0 half-time score, Prince were first on the score sheet when Robin Taws beat his marker to slot past the Viewpoint keeper.

Prince went into a 2-0 lead with a great header by Delroy Samuel and then Taws scored a brilliant goal from the halfway line with a lob over the keeper.

Viewpoint were having an off day but still pulled one back when Karl Hotchkiss made the final score 3-1.

Guru Nanak Reserves had a home game with Horton Kirby at Kings Farm and were 3-1 to the good by the break, finally emerging 6-1 victors with Jim Coakley getting two of their half dozen tally.

Stuart Sutton gave hosts Swan Valley a 1-0 half-time advantage over AFC Welsh Tavern (Sat).

Russell Brooks levelled in the second half, but Swan regained the lead with another Sutton effort.

AFC were back on terms through Paul Ellis and it wasn’t the last of the scoring as Ellis added his second and Dave Grace found the target for Swan as it finished up all square at 3-3. Although Woodlands Athletic lost their first game in Division One, they still hold top spot by two points.

They were away to Meopham and trailed 2-0 at the midway through point after Adam Cable and Mario Dinonno hit the back of the net for the hosts.

Matt Taylor added a third for Meopham, although there was some consolation for Woodlands when a Dave Evans corner was put away by Neil Marshall to make the full-time score 3-1.

Peacock Celtic were at home to Waterloo at Thong Lane and held a 3-1 lead by the break.

Tim Edwins needed only five minutes to break the deadlock, Stuart Mann doubled the lead 10 minutes later and the same player added a third with a fine volley on the half hour.

Adam Smith pulled one back for Waterloo goal, but Edwins’ penalty in the second half made it 4-1.

Smith pulled it back to 4-2 before Edwins completed his hat-trick.

However, Waterloo showed real determination and hit back through John Ryder and Bradley Marrable late on, although they were unable to find the elusive equaliser.

Craggs Farm Reserves are trying hard to climb up the table.

They were at home at the AEI ground to the Reserves of Viewpoint and in a game of five goals, Craggs just edged home by 3-2 thanks to Tony Love Jnr (2) and Daniel Pinder.

Steve Coyne got both goals for Viewpoint.

Stone C & I played host to NK Aces at Stone Rec’ and found themselves 2-0 behind at the interval after Aces’ Paul Sandhu hit a brace.

In the second half Stone played well, but they failed to get past the experienced 42-year-old Kenroy Bramble in the centre of the Aces defence and the game finished 2-0.

The Rising Eagles were at home to Bean at Kings Farm and in search of their first points of the campaign.

And they duly came when Sam Potterton (2) and Bradley Cross (2) secured a 4-0 triumph.

In Division Two, Ash Green go top of the after getting a point in a thrilling 4-4 draw at home to AFC Welsh Tavern (Sat) Reserves.

Tavern held a 3-1 advantage at half-time after Ash Green had initially gone in front.

Ash Green then turned the game on its head by taking a 4-3 lead in the second half, but Tavern waited until the final minute to grab their fourth goal.

Mark Hergest (2),Georgios Sirrakos and Danny May were all on target for Tavern’s second string.

Dave Morris struck twice in the first half to put Culverstone 2-0 to the good by the interval at Oakfield.

Luke Vint, Jon Knott and Wil Hampshire put the outcome beyond doubt, while Dan Moore netted a consolation for Oakfield.

FC Stone were 2-0 down to Real Man of Kent by half-time to a brace from Carl Morson in their home game at Knockhall Road.

They came back in the second half to draw level at 2-2 and share the points with goals from Kelvin Wheeler and Chris Rains.

There were 11 goals in the meeting between Fleetway Printers and Fleetdown United B.

Fleetdown led 4-2 at the interval and finally came out on top 7-4.

Darren Simms scored three for Fleetway, two from headers, and Simon Collins was also on target also for the Printers.

Fleetdown’s goals came from Billy Joel (3), Ross Copley (2) and Dom Falzon (2).

The two bottom teams, Joydens Wood and Meopham Reserves, were without a point at the start of the day, but each finished with one on the board after sharing an exciting 3-3 draw.

Joydens started well and held a 2-1 lead at the break thanks to Michael Scates and Ross Hunt, with Luke Batchelor keeping Meopham right in contention.

Andy Cosshall added a third for Joydens, but Gavin Milligan and a dramatic late equaliser in the 89th minute from John Allwright secured a point for Meopham.
