Worthing 4-1 Cray Wanderers, It was a day of frustration and disaster for Cray who were delayed on their journey to Worthing and had to rush their pre-match warm-up before kick-off.
After a solid first half in which both defences were in command, the Wands were blown away as Worthing exploited the wind advantage and slope to race into a 3-1 lead in the early second half.
Cray's goal was put into his own net by a home defender from Tommy Whitnell's cross.
Cray were reduced to ten men on 72 minutes when Scott Kinch received a second yellow card.
A fourth goal for Worthing completed the Wands' misery three minutes from time.
Cray return to action on Tuesday evening at home to Folkestone Invicta (7.45pm).
