Ebbsfleet United have this afternoon fired manager Jamie Day.
The former Welling United manager replaced Steve Brown in the Stonebridge Road hotseat before Christmas and assembled a new look side during January’s transfer window.
However, the fresh faces didn’t gel quickly enough and the big spending club are 12 points adrift of the play-offs with only one game to play, a huge disappointment considering the calibre of players Day drafted in.
A brief statement released to ebbsfleetunited.co.uk confirmed: “The club announced this afternoon that manager Jamie Day has been issued notice to terminate his contract.
“Barry Ashby and Dean Frost have also had their contracts with the club terminated with immediate effect.
“A further comment will be made in due course regarding the future football management structure at the club.”
