Danson Sports U15s secured the London Youth Cup for the second year running, having won the competition as U14s last season.
In a hard fought game against Santley Athletic from Clapham, Danson, led by captain Tate Rayner, came from behind to win 2-1 thanks to second half goals from Henry Ijeike and Kunle Bakare.
What started as a project for head coach Craig Holloway three years ago has now become a reality, with this team proving they truly are the best U15s in London.
Club founder and life president Steve Rayner said:”We couldn’t ask for a better way to celebrate our tenth anniversary and endorse our approach to developing young players than creating a bit of club history like this.”
Danson Sports FC, founded in 2005 to give a group of ten eight-year-old boys the opportunity to play regular sport, has achieved FA charter standard.
The club currently has 25 teams and continues to grow, offering youth football and mini-soccer to all.
