Michael Power’s hat-trick secured all three points for VCD Athletic on Saturday against Harrow Borough in a highly entertaining game.
The Crayford side scored after three minutes when man-of-the-match Power hit a screamer past Nicky Jupp and 12 minutes later he reacted quickest to a rebound to make it 2-0.
An exciting half saw Ryan Hope pull one back for Harrow on 39 minutes, but the game changed just before half time when Butterworth of Harrow was sent off for dissent.
Borough chucked the kitchen sink at VCD after the break and Mark Charles Smith equalised on the 80th minute.
However, there more even more drama to come.
In injury time Ahmed Deen surged to the byline and his deep cross was headed back across goal when Power lived up to his name and secured all three points for VCD by blasting a shot past a helpless Jupp.
VCD Athletic: Blue, McDonagh, Basey, Reeves, Tozer (Deen 52), Dawson, Carpenter (P Smith 87), Perkins, Power, Bremner, O Smith (Green 59). Subs not used: Powell, Penfold.
