THE mayor of Greenwich was guest of honour at the official opening of Teviot Rangers’ new clubhouse and changing rooms.
Councillor Angela Cornforth was joined by Teviot Rangers JFC vice chairman Mick Flatman and club secretary Tracy Maddocks at the event (above), which was also attended by representatives from the London Football Association and Selkent League.
Plumstead-based Teviot Rangers were able to carry out the refurbishment after being awarded an £11,300 Football Foundation grant in April this year.
Mr Flatman said: “Swingate Lane, the home of Teviot Rangers, is now established as a premier venue for junior football for both girls and boys of all ages.
“This development is a step forward in progressing the club following our lease renewal earlier in the year.”
