FOOTBALLERS at a five-a-side centre in Beckenham got the surprise of their lives when Liverpool and England’s Raheem Sterling turned up to watch them play.
The highly-rated forward was visiting Goals Beckenham North soccer centre in Copers Cope Road to watch his own friends in action but also took time to check out some of the other games and offer words of advice and encouragement to Beckenham's footballers.
Goals Beckenham North manager Duane Hall said: “It was a nice surprise to see Raheem at the centre, he is a top guy and was sharing stories with us about his career.
“It’s not often that we have a Premier League player visit but he was really friendly and was happy to pose for photos.
“Before he left Raheem signed a ball for us, which we now have proudly displayed in case at reception.”
