Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner confirmed that he will have no new players at his disposal for Sunday’s trip to Chelsea.

The Eagles are expected to add Matt Turner, Maxence Lacroix and Eddie Nketiah to their squad before the 11pm transfer deadline, but they will not feature until after the international break.

Glasner will have three less players at his disposal to the team that ran out 4-0 victors over Norwich in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night with Chadi Riad sidelined after suffering a suspected MCL injury, while Sam Johnstone and Naouirou Ahamada are no longer with the squad.

Glasner said: “No new players will be available for Sunday, but we trust in all the players who are here, so we'll have a competitive squad.

“The win against Norwich was important for the team's self confidence, we could see it in the training. So the players are smiling more, the mood they went up and so this is what we now want to continue at Chelsea, before many players go back to their national teams.”

Glasner provided an update on Riad’s fitness after being pulled off just ten minutes into Tuesday’s League Cup tie.

“It’s a little bit questionable at the moment. It looked really bad and then the next day he was very stiff in his knee, but the examinations were not so bad.

“However, they were not clear enough, so we will wait now for the next two weeks to get the right diagnosis for the future, but it doesn't look so serious. We will definitely miss him for several weeks. It looks like the ACL is not ruptured, which is very important and then we'll see in the next two weeks.”

Glasner also shared that there are no fresh injuries, with just Riad (knee) and Mathues Franca (broken ribs) unavailable for Sunday’s trip outing in West London.
