NEWS Shopper yesterday asked Millwall fans to tweet their questions via @NewsShopperSprt so we could put the best three to Kenny Jackett.

The Lions boss was only too happy to oblige when we caught up with him at The Den and here is what he had to say.

Liam O’Connor @MFC_Liam: What do you realistically think the team can achieve this season?

Our aim is the play-offs.

It is a good division, it is a tough division and one which we are very pleased to be in.

But we start the season by trying to get into that top six.

There are more fancied teams and clubs in the bookies’ listings but there is no reason why we can’t surprise everybody and be the side that puts the consistent run together to get into the top six come next May.

Rob Morgan @RobM661: You said it was your priority at the end of last season in May to bring in a striker.

How come that hasn’t happened yet?

Because of availability and getting the right players, whether that be a loan or a permanent signing.

We will see. We are always looking to strengthen the squad and strikers are at a premium and very expensive at this level.

Daniel Matthews @Danielmfc1995: Would you be prepared to break the bank to get a striker in if necessary?

Breaking the bank for one club and breaking the bank for another are different things.

We’ve spent about quarter of a million on the pitch this year and improved the youth policy, things that do help the infrastructure of the club.

Now, they all cost money.

While we do appreciate that the XI who go out there are very, very important and your club is quite often only as good as those, the infrastructure has been heavily backed this summer and will help the club overall.
