SHOULD Charlton reach the second round of the Carling Cup, the club’s match against Preston North End will take place at The Valley on September 13 (7.45pm).

The potential fixture was originally planned to take place in SE7 on the midweek of August 30 in the event that the Addicks defeated Championship side Reading in their rearranged first-round tie on August 23 (7.45pm).

The first match was called off on police advice due to the riots, but international call-ups mean the next possible date is September 13, when Charlton are due to travel to Milton Keynes Dons in League One.

FANS who attended this month’s league match against AFC Bournemouth have until Saturday to get the price of their match ticket discounted when they buy a 2011/12 season ticket.

Places at The Valley are available from £265 adults, £180 over 60s and U21s, £75 U18s and £49 U11s, but those supporters who attended the game against the Cherries are being offered a special discount of up to £25.

Application forms can be downloaded from cafc.co.uk, while tickets can be purchased from the Valley commercial centre or by calling 0871 226 1905.

SCOTT Wagstaff continued his fine start to 2011/12 by scoring his second goal in two games in Saturday’s 2-1 win against Notts County.

Academy product Wagstaff signed a new contract with the Addicks earlier this month, which will keep him in SE7 until at least 2013.

TICKETS have gone on sale for the home match against Exeter City and the club is making two special offers in relation to the game.

Season-ticket holders can purchase up to two adult tickets in their stand at £10 each, while all U18 seats are reduced to £5.

The £10 tickets will not available on the day of the Exeter fixture on September 10 (3pm) online, or in the run-up to kick-off on preceding matchdays, but can be ordered on 0871 226 1905 and bought from the commercial centre windows.

There are no restrictions on sale of the £5 tickets.

THE Valley witnessed a new record against AFC Bournemouth on August 6 when seven debutants stepped out in a Charlton shirt.

Rhoys Wiggins, Michael Morrison, Matt Taylor, Danny Hollands, Dale Stephens, Paul Hayes and Bradley Pritchard all featured in the 3-0 win over the Cherries and Andy Hughes made his debut against Notts County on Saturday.

TICKETS are currently on general sale for Charlton’s away league match against Bury on August 27 (3pm), plus the home games against Scunthorpe United on Saturday (3pm) and Sheffield Wednesday on September 5 (7.45pm).

Home tickets are priced £18, £22 and £25 adults, £13 and £18 over 60s and U21s, £10 U18s and £5 U11s, and all tickets are available in person from the Valley commercial centre, from cafc.co.uk or by calling 0871 226 1905.

ENGLAND U16 midfielder Diego Poyet agreed to sign his first professional deal for Charlton earlier this month.

The engine-roomer, son of Brighton & Hove Albion boss Gus, has been with the Addicks since U13 level.

He will sign his contract in April, when he will follow in the footsteps of Jordan Cousins, Harry Osborne and Callum Harriott in becoming the latest youngster to join the club’s professional ranks.

KEEPER Ben Hamer is still seeking his Addicks debut after a minor hand injury ruled him out for the opening two games of the season.

The custodian arrived at The Valley from Reading earlier this month for an undisclosed fee and will wear the number one jersey this season.

CHARLTON have announced a three-year deal with BreamTeam which will see the IT solutions and interactive media firm become the club’s official digital partner.

BreamTeam has provided technical support for The Valley’s big screen for several years.

CHARLTON will be led in 2011/12 by Johnnie Jackson, who has been the club’s captain by manager Chris Powell.

Midfielder Jackson signed a new two-year contract at the start of the month, and he will be supported by vice-captain Matt Taylor.

FORMER Addicks centre-half Christian Dailly signed a short-term contract with Portsmouth earlier this month.

The contract of the Scottish defender expired at the end of last season, while fellow former Charlton centre-half Miguel Llera has signed for Blackpool.
