CRYSTAL Palace get back to Championship action this weekend when they make the trip to face Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.
The Eagles have not played for two weeks since the 2-2 draw with Burnley at Selhurst Park in late August but they still lie in third place in the table and boss Peter Taylor has been generally happy with how things have gone so far.
He said: "To have two points a game is good form but we also know we can play a lot better although we have played well in certain periods of each game.
"We're always looking to improve but I must say the boys are looking fresh and up for it and there seems to be a nice spirit in the camp too."
Mike Newell's Luton side have also made a bright start to the campaign and the Hatters know if they win they draw level on points with Palace.
Last season they completed a double over the Eagles - a fact Taylor is well aware of and is keen to change this season.
He said: "Luton is always a difficult place to go and play and Mike always has his team well organised and up-for-it.
"I know they got the double over Palace last year so we're certainly going there up for the match.
"They've made a good start and had a few changes in their team with Nicholas and Howard leaving, the same as here really, but you've got to give credit to them because they're always a hard working team and to me, they are quite entertaining.
"We're ready for it though and we're looking forward to going there to get a point or three hopefully."
It is also the first game since the transfer deadline day signings of both striker Shefki Kuqi and midfielder Stuart Green.
Both players have linked up with their new team-mates in the build-up for the game and are in contention to feature in Bedfordshire but Taylor is understandably keeping his cards close to his chest ahead of the game.
He said: "There is very healthy competition for places and the two new lads are also fit and ready to go.
"They've both trained this morning (Thursday) and they seem to have settled in very well."
