PETER Taylor praised his Eagles' character as they came back from behind twice to frustrate Burnley.
The Eagles were unlucky to miss out on three points as Clarets keeper Brian Jensen made a string of stunning saves.
The Palace boss said: "The pleasing aspect was our great character to come back.
"We didn't start very well, gave a poor goal away and Burnley were the better side for half an hour but then we improved.
"In the second half, we scored an excellent goal but then we gave away a worse goal than we did in the first half but it was great character from the players to keep going.
"I thought we looked a bit edgy on the ball though and we've got to make sure we're confident in every game.
"But in the second half I couldn't have asked for any more and I thought we created some good chances after it was 2-2."
He added: "I fancied us to win the match but their goalkeeper had a couple of blinding saves.
"Overall though, I'll take a point but I know we can do better."
Goals from Leon Cort and James Scowcroft gave Palace the hard-earned point to keep them in third spot in the Championship.
As expected Peter Taylor made nine changes to the side twhich lost 2-1 to Notts County in the Carling Cup.
Dougie Freedman and Mark Hudson were the only two survivors while Matt Lawrence, Scott Flinders, Marco Reich and Michael Hughes were all on the bench.
After 15 minutes Palace created their first chance of the match as Danny Granville's deep cross found James Scowcroft at the far post.
The tall striker headed the ball back for Freedman who's first time volley flew just wide of Brian Jensen's far post.
Palace had been given a few warning signs and in the 23rd minute Burnley took a deserved lead.
Steve Jones found space on the left and his pull-back was tucked into the corner of the goal by Alan Mahon.
Three minutes into the second-half Palace were level when Kennedy's free-kick was converted by Cort.
Burnley retook the lead through Kyle Lafferty.
But in the 75th minute Palace struck the equaliser when Jobi McAnuff's cross from the left met the head of Scowcroft who made no mistake from six yards out.
