URUGUAYAN midfielder Omar Pouso is poised to seal a loan move to Charlton after his current club revealed he had flown to England to discuss terms.
Pouso, who scored in a friendly against England in March, wants to leave Penarol and agree a season-long deal.
Penarol president Jose Pedro Damiani said: "Mr Pouso has flown to England.
"We have to send the transfer papers and this is painful for us.
"Pouso explained they offered an attractive amount of money."
Damiani added: "We won't forbid him a step forward in his career."
He added: "Pouso treated Penarol very well, but this transfer will affect the team.
"Apart from this, we have signed strikers who are not scoring goals."
