JIMMY Abdou is set for a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a knee ligament injury in Tuesday’s 2-1 defeat at Reading.
The influential midfielder has been a virtual ever present for the Lions in their first season back in the Championship and the news is a major dent to the club’s outside hopes of securing a play-off place.
Manager Kenny Jackett confirmed to News Shopper this morning: “Abdou will certainly be out for at least a month I would have thought.
“It is a blow but we haven’t got that many injuries at the moment so we have to as a club and as a squad cope with that.”
