KENNY Jackett is looking forward to renewing hostilities with Leeds United on Saturday.

Millwall and the Yorkshire outfit have been involved in some memorable encounters in recent years as the battled to get out of League One, something they both finally achieved in May.

Now they meet again as Championship sides and Jackett’s team have the added bonus of being top of the table after a 100 per cent start to the new campaign.

The Lions boss said: “We’ve had great games at Leeds United and I personally think it is a terrific place to go because Elland Road is a great stadium and has a great atmosphere.

“Over the last couple of seasons it has been nip and tuck for both clubs where we’ve been competing in the top six of League One for the last two years.

“There have been some terrific games but very close ones which have been keenly contested.

“I think Saturday will be exactly the same, although there will be a different set of circumstances now from what both clubs have been used to in the last couple of years where we were trying to get out of League One into the Championship.

“Now we are both trying to establish ourselves in the new division and it is still early days for both of us where we are trying to work our best to get a foothold in this division.”

Millwall will be guaranteed a hostile reception from the Elland Road faithful on Saturday lunchtime but Jackett is still looking forward to it.

He added: “The support they have is very well renowned and I’ve got to say their reputation is well deserved because they turn up in their numbers.

“We understand we will need to play well there against a very big club and a good side.”

Scott Barron is rated as 50-50 by Jackett and will have fitness test tomorrow morning on his ankle injury.
