MANAGER Kenny Jackett says he is happy to have landed a home Carling Cup tie with fellow Championship side Middlesbrough.
The Lions secured their place in the second round after a narrow 2-1 extra-time victory over Wycombe Wanderers.
Jackett said: “Boro are a big club and one of the more fancied clubs in the division and of course it is a home draw, so we’re pleased about that.
“When you see how many Championship teams have been knocked out of the cup, it shows you perhaps Wycombe was a harder game than anticipated but the main thing is that the right result was gained.
“And with our record against Wycombe of late, it was nice to win because they beat us twice last year.”
The result rounded off a good week for the Lions who thumped Bristol City 3-0 at the weekend and put in a performance which delighted their boss.
He added: “There will be tougher times to go to Ashton Gate with the injuries they’ve got but even so, you’ve still got to play well and do it and I was very pleased with the performance on the day.
“I felt it was a deserved win.”
