GEORGE Burley says he is still on the lookout for fresh faces as he tries to add to his wafer-thin Crystal Palace squad.

Burley has already signed a number of players this summer but after inheriting a depleted and administration ravaged squad, still finds himself short of numbers.

He said: “We’ve brought a few players in during the last few weeks and we will continue to do that.

“We’ve spoken to a few clubs but we’re not in any advanced negotiations at the moment.”

The Eagles are particularly short in attack with Alan Lee and Calvin Andrew being the only senior strikers at the club.

Burley acknowledged: “I am just trying to build the squad up and striker is one of those positions we’re looking to strengthen.”

The Scotsman will look initially to solve this problem in the loan market but admits there could be some leeway in his budget if required.

“At the moment we’re looking at loans, but there are other possibilities,” he added.
