CHARLTON are not set to benefit from their link-up with Liverpool in the immediate future, manager Phil Parkinson has confirmed.
The Premiership side agreed to let the Addicks have access to their promising youngsters to give them experience of league football under the terms of the deal which saw Jonjo Shelvey head to Anfield.
But despite Charlton being short of numbers ahead of the new campaign, the Liverpool option is not likely to provide any short-term solutions in SE7.
Parkinson said: “Our chief scout Phil Chapple has been in discussions with Liverpool.
“At the moment there is nobody there who is going to come to us within the next few weeks.”
