BROMLEY boss Mark Goldberg is looking forward to Wednesday's friendly with Charlton at Hayes Lane.
The Addicks game follows fast on the heels of tomorrow evening’s encounter against Crystal Palace and with the Lillywhites due to face Erith & Belvedere on Thursday, these are busy times for the club.
Goldberg said: “We are certainly delighted to be able to host Charlton Athletic on Wednesday night.
“We are building a good relationship with Charlton which we hope will continue for years to come.
“Charlton are also looking at a number of our younger players, and we hope that we can provide them with a good test ahead of their new season.
“Playing three games in three days is perfect for us, as it will help to maintain fitness levels and help us as a management team reduce the squad numbers from 24 to 18.”
Bromley continued their pre-season build up with a 1-0 win at Bognor.
Striker Nic McDonnell grabbed the only goal of the game but Goldberg conceded Bromley's real hero was at the other end of the pitch.
He said: “The pitch at Nyewood Lane was perfect for us and the Bognor game was another successful friendly.
“It was a good test and we learned what we wanted to learn, with the scoreline flattering us a little with Jamie Butler making two very good saves to prevent them from equalising.
“We had a lot more possession in the second half and our pattern of play is coming together as we would like it. We are pleased with another win.”
Tickets for the games with Palace and Charlton are on sale at the gate priced £10 for adults and £5 for children, students and pensioners.
