LLOYD Sam has finally resolved his future by joining Leeds United.

The winger was a key figure in Charlton’s promotion chase last season, which came to an end with the play-off defeat against Swindon.

Charlton’s failure to regain their Championship status ultimately ensured the Addicks were unable to keep hold of the 25-year-old, whose contract came to an end this summer.

Manager Phil Parkinson revealed to News Shopper two weeks ago he had not given up all hope of keeping the player but admitted Sam's agent was negotiating with several sides at a higher level.

Leeds were one of several Championship sides rumoured to be interested in securing Sam’s services and manager Simon Grayson is pleased to finally snap him up.

He told the Leeds United website: “Lloyd is another good addition to our squad. He has plenty of experience, he has played at Championship level and he is hungry to do well.

“We’re delighted to get things finalised and welcome him aboard before we go out to Slovakia.”
