LEAGUE Two Barnet will provide pre-season opposition for Charlton this summer after a friendly between the clubs was announced for July.

The Addicks will travel to Underhill on July 24 (3pm) in what is the second match announced in their summer schedule to date.

Charlton will also travel to AFC Wimbledon on July 10 (3pm) and ticket details for both games, as well as other fixtures announced, will appear on the official website.

STRICKEN youngster Adam Bird led out the Addicks against Swindon Town on Monday night with the club continuing to support his bid for life-saving cancer treatment.

Via a series of exclusive auctions on the official club website, a total of £4,077.82 was raised, while the club donated a further £1,000 from a previous charitable fundraising initiative.

On top of this, Allen has also been inundated with donations of over £1,000 for Adam's appeal from big-hearted fans.
