KENNY Jackett believes Millwall must concentrate solely on beating Swindon and put events elsewhere firmly out of their minds.
The Lions go into the final League One game with home advantage over their promotion rivals but know they may have to settle for a place in the play-offs even if they win if Leeds beat Bristol Rovers at Elland Road.
Jackett’s side missed out on the chance to regain second place last week after suffering a shock 2-0 defeat at Tranmere while Leeds were losing 1-0 at Charlton.
The manager is still angry with that display but is urging his side to respond in style when Swindon visit The Den on Saturday.
Jackett said: “I was disappointed last week at Tranmere.
“The penalty decision for their first goal was harsh but we didn’t feel we played well or as well as we can do.
“This week we want to bounce back. I’m looking forward to the game.
“I believe it is sold out and there will be a big crowd at The Den, which should lead to a cracking atmosphere.
“We have to put on a performance and be at our very best to beat a talented Swindon team because they’ve had a good season themselves.”
He added: “We have to keep the pressure on Leeds but mostly we have to focus on our own job.
“Everybody will know how things are going on around the country because of the crowd but if we don’t do our job it will all be irrelevant.
“They are telling me there will be 38,000 fans at Elland Road but whether that works for them or against them I don’t know.
“We will certainly have the crowd on our side at The Den on Saturday.
“If you get 10,000 it can feel like 20,000, it is a real old fashioned football environment.
“I’m also sure Bristol Rovers will want to give a good account of themselves because they are a good side.”
Shaun Batt is available for selection and defender Tony Craig has a slight chance of making a shock return despite initially being ruled out for the season after picking up an injury at Huddersfield on April 16.
Striker Steve Morison is rated 50-50 by Jackett but Danny Schofield is definitely ruled out.
