CHARLTON agreed a £2.5m fee for the transfer of striker Marcus Bent on Monday. The Everton striker was due to head down to the capital the same day to complete a medical. The deal for the 27-year-old, who previously played with namesake and Addicks leading marksman Darren Bent at Ipswich Town, is worth an initial £2m, which could rise to £2.5m.
ALAN Curbishley confirmed Birmingham City's interest in Jason Euell last Friday but revealed the Blues' valuation of the striker-cum-midfielder was too low. HOLDERS Charlton will face Fulham in the fifth round of the FA Women's Cup on January 29 following their 4-1 away victory against Bristol City on Sunday. Casey Stoney, Faye Cardin, Gemma Ritchie and Eniola Aluko scored the goals.
