MILLWALL captain Dave Livermore has signed a new contract keeping him at the club until 2010. The midfielder had expressed a desire to leave the south London side earlier in the season and was on the verge of joining Southampton in August. Director of football Colin Lee is thrilled the 25-year-old has now agreed to extend his stay at the New Den. He said: "I have said from the moment I arrived David is an absolutely vital player. I'm hopeful others we are in the process of trying to re-sign will see this as evidence we have now turned the corner and are moving forward again." Livermore joined from Arsenal for £30,000 in 1999.
PAUL Robinson's red card against Leicester City on Boxing Day has been rescinded following an appeal to the FA. The defender was shown a straight red card by referee Graham Salisbury at the Walkers Stadium for allegedly denying Foxes striker Elvis Hammond an obvious goalscoring opportunity. However, having studied video evidence of the incident an FA panel decided the 23-year-old was completely vindicated.
ALAN Dunne is at the centre of speculation surrounding a possible move to Premiership side West Ham United. It is thought Hammers boss Alan Pardew will make a move for the 23-year-old in this month's transfer window. Dunne, who has been linked with a move to the top flight before, was the main interest of Pardew's scout in the Reading match and he is seen as a possible replacement for Thomas Repka should the Czech leave east London. Dunnehas made 29 appearances for the Lions this season, scoring two goals With thanks to Millwall FC
