Crystal Palace 1 v 1 Millwall - Coca-Cola Championship
COLIN Lee could not hide his despair as a last-gasp equaliser by Ben Watson kept Millwall rooted to the foot of the Championship table.
Ben May looked to have secured a priceless win for The Lions which would have lifted them off the bottom only for Watson to pop up right at the death.
Lee fumed: "The referee said he played three minutes and I said Why did you put two minutes up on the board then?'.
"He said because he told the fourth official three minutes.
"I said the fourth official put two minutes up. We're playing for the two minutes, not the three and he can't give me an explanation.
"The officials have got it wrong and are not big enough to say they have.
"They have cost us the game because they played three minutes instead of two.
"There was a lot of effort, we had a header which hit the inside of the post and came out.
"If we were top of the league it would have hit the post and gone in.
"I'm not happy with the officials and what they've done."
It was former Eagle Bruce Dyer who hit the post after May had headed Jody Morris' free-kick past Julian Speroni.
Palace equalised on 93 minutes when Watson steered home Dougie Freedman's cross.
Away from the pitch new chairman Peter de Savary spelled out his target for the club.
He said: "Within five years we want to be one of the top 15 clubs in the country.
"The odds are against us and most of my friends felt I was barking mad to join Millwall.
"The invitation from the board to become chairman of Millwall was one about which I was initially apprehensive and I was not sure I would be the right person.
"But once I understood everything, I saw it would be a great challenge and a great opportunity.
"I'm going to sit down with the management and make a short-term plan, a medium-term plan and a long-term plan."
