BIG DEAL: Plans to expand The Valley to accommodate more than 40,000 fans are to be submitted later this month. An initial proposal to increase the club's capacity to 30,600 by redeveloping the East Stand and south-east corner will be submitted to Greenwich Council on December 13, along with an outline application for the transformation of the South Stand. Proposals to improve the club's New Eltham training ground, by upgrading pitches and erecting a new office building, are also included, with a public exhibition planned at The Valley from December 13.
PERRY BAD? Chris Perry will have further tests this week on what is believed to be a groin problem. Alan Curbishley said: "Chris is in situation where he needs to rest for two to three weeks and that might be successful. The injury is similar to a hernia, but at this stage an operation is not an option. Rest may be the cure." Centre-half Mark Fish was due to play a further 90 minutes in his comeback from a knee problem for the reserves this week.
TICKET TIME: Tickets for the trip to Crystal Palace next Sunday (4.05pm), are still available, priced £35 adults, and £21 over 60s and U16s. LADIES' DAY: The Charlton women's team returned to the top of the league on Sunday, but left it late to beat bottom-placed Doncaster Rovers Belles 2-0. The Addicks travel to Merseyside this Sunday for the first of two away trips to Liverpool in the space of eight days.
RUSSIAN DAY: The Valley will host a friendly England under-20 match against Russia early next year. Addicks youngsters Stacy Long and Osei Sankofa are both expected to feature in the game on February 8.
