NEIL Warnock wants to pay back Crystal Palace fans for the way they have treated him since his arrival at the club almost two years ago.
Warnock transformed Palace from the relegation zone to the play-offs in his first campaign, but last year they were forced to settle for a disappointing mid-table finish.
Despite this, criticism of Warnock is almost unheard of among the Eagles faithful - a point which hasn't been lost on the man himself.
He said: “I have never been more accepted by a group of fans than I have here.
“I think they almost realise that the situation is not what it has been over the years and I am probably their best chance as well as they are mine.
“It is nice to know the fans think about the situation and help out.
“That does help and wherever we go we have been well received.
“There is also the chairman’s support.
“I know he would have loved to have given me millions he gave other managers over the years, but it is not to be.
“I am not going moan about things like that and will just get on with it, he is in the trenches with me.”
