RICHARD Murray and Derek Chappell confirmed last Friday evening talks regarding the potential purchase of Charlton are ongoing.

The Addicks football club board chairman and plc chairman respectively issued a joint statement in response to a series of questions posed by the Fans' Forum.

The duo revealed they shared supporters’ frustrations, but reiterated it was an extremely complex process and that the club’s directors were bound by confidentiality agreements.

CHRISTIAN Dailly and Darren Randolph both signed one-year contracts with the Addicks last week to bolster Charlton’s squad for the 2009/10 campaign.

Former Scotland international Dailly, 35, impressed in a trial game against Ipswich Town, while goalkeeper Randolph has agreed a new deal.

WHILE stocks of the new red home kit were running low in the Valley Superstore in midweek, fans can purchase the new away kit from 10am on Saturday, prior to the first game of the season against Wycombe Wanderers.

The design of the new away kit was due to be announced at cafc.co.uk before the end of the week, while fans will be able to pre-order home kit from next midweek.

THE ADDICKS have received a bye in the first round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Charlton are one of 16 teams to gain automatic entry to the second round, with the draw for the first round due to be made on August 15.

STRETCHERED from the pitch at Bournemouth on Saturday, Chris Solly suffered only a badly bruised ankle and leg and was able to resume training on Monday.
