Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed the signing of goalkeeper Sam Johnstone from Crystal Palace

Johnstone moves North for a fee in the region of £10 million, two years after joining the Eagles on a free transfer.

The 31-year-old England International joined Crystal Palace in 2022 and has since made 34 appearances for the South London club.

After losing his place to Dean Henderson in the starting eleven, Johnstone submitted a transfer request during Palace's pre-season tour of the United States.

Chairman and Co-Owner Steve Parish said: “Sam has given his all over the two years he has spent at this club, and has been a key part of our strong goalkeeping group, whilst fighting his way back into international contention as well. We would like to thank him for his service and wish him well."

Crystal Palace are expected to replace Johnstone before the transfer window closes at 11pm.
