Crystal Palace's Jean-Philippe Mateta scored in the final of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, but his 93rd-minute equaliser was only enough for a silver medal as France fell to a 5-3 defeat in extra time.
The forward has enjoyed an exceptional 2024, scoring 19 times in 19 games - with five coming at the Olympics.
Descending from Sevran, the Frenchman scored a penalty at the death in normal time, topping off an incredible comeback that saw France recover a two-goal deficit in the second half.
However, Mateta's heroics were not enough for France, with Les Blues running out of steam in injury time - conceding twice.

Silver in Paris is the first career honour for the Crystal Palace Player of the Year, and his performances have left France senior boss Didier Deschamps with food for thought, ahead of selecting his squad for September's UEFA Nations League fixtures.
Mateta - who seemed to be struggling with fatigue at the end of Friday's final - will return to Palace training this week ahead of the Eagles' season opener against Brentford on Sunday.
