Crystal Palace left-back Tayo Adaramola has completed a season-long loan move to Stockport County.

The 20-year-old also had interest from fellow League One side Wigan Athletic, but it was the Hatters who moved fastest.

The switch to Cheshire will see the Irishman experience his third spell away from Selhurst Park following stints at Coventry City and Palace’s sister club RWD Molenbeek.

Alongside his two senior appearances for the Eagles, Adaramola has represented his country at youth level.

Stockport’s latest addition has yet to feature in a senior English league, with his three senior appearances limited to the FA and League Cups, so the progression to League One represents the latest step in his development.

Adaramola plugs a significant gap for the newly-promoted side after left-back Ethan Bristow - who spent last season on loan with Stockport - returned to the United States.

Following his move North, Adaramola said: “I’m over the moon. I can’t wait to get going. I feel like I’ve got something to prove in England.

"Now I’ve got to do what I’ve got to do in the football league and show everyone I’m good enough.”
