After three successive Premier League victories, Crystal Palace travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday (27 April)

Last time out, the Eagles beat Newcastle 2-0 at Selhurst Park, with in-form striker Jean Phillipe Mateta scoring a brace.

Fulham’s last game was against Liverpool last Sunday, where they lost 3-1 at Craven Cottage.

Since matchday 30, Fulham find themselves 14th in the form table, with only one win in five games, meanwhile Palace have won every game since beating Liverpool at Anfield.

The two sides currently sit in 13th and 14th place; however it would take a big winning margin for Palace to leapfrog their opponents this weekend.

Neither team has any new injury concerns ahead of the game, however Palace are still without the likes of Sam Johnstone, Marc Guehi, Cheick Doucoure, and Jefferson Lerma.

Predicted Fulham starting XI (4-2-3-1)

Goalkeeper: Bernd Leno

Defence: Timothy Castagne, Tosin Adarabioyo, Calvin Bassey, Antonee Robinson

Midfield: Joao Palhinha, Sasa Lukic, Alex Iwobi, Andreas Periera, Bobby Decordova-Reid

Predicted Crystal Palace starting XI (3-4-3)

Goalkeeper: Dean Henderson

The stats

Here are key stats ahead of Sunday’s fixture:

  • Crystal Palace have won three Premier League games in a row for the first time this season. The last time they achieved that feat was in April last year, when they beat all three of the sides who went on to be relegated.
  • Mateta has scored more Premier League goals under Oliver Glasner (eight in nine games), than under Roy Hodgson (five in 35 games) or Patrick Vieira (six in 44 games).
  • Fulham are unbeaten in their last four games against Crystal Palace, dating back to October 2020. However, they have only won one of the four matches, a 3-0 win at Selhurst Park last season..

Prediction

Crystal Palace come into this game on the back of their best form of the season, while Fulham come into the game with only one win in five. I see it being a tough game for both sides, with not much to separate the two.

Prediction: Fulham 1-1 Crystal Palace
