Bell Ya Later top SLKPA Tier Two East

This week they faced New Eltham New Boys, who were only two places and two points below them.  

They had a brilliant start winning the first set, 4-1 and they continued to dominate in the second also taking it, 4-1 with Jo Williams very unfortunate not to win her frame for the whitewash. 

However, they didn't have to wait long and in the last set they were in complete control and achieved the whitewash for an amazing final result of 3-0 & 13-2. 

There was some great pool played by all players, but in particular Jade Holmes, Angie Hobbs, Reece Stewart and Paul Thomas all scoring hat-tricks.

Rugrats are two points behind Bell Ya Later and are the only other unbeaten team in the division after this week's victory over Falconwood Club. 

Rugrats started off better, winning the opening two frames however, Ross Webster, Akar Necati and Brett Crawley won the next three to give Falconwood the opening set.

The game then swung back in Rugrats favour, with Dylan Suggars, Shane O’Reilly, Pat Firth and Steve Gibson taking the first four frames of the second set, before Crawley prevented the set whitewash.

Rugrats had a, 6-4 overall lead going into the final set, but Necati cut that back to a single frame with the eleventh.

However, that would be their last frame of the night, as Rugrats won the last four frames for a, 2-1 & 10-5 triumph. 

After winning one of the opening frames, Pat Firth went on to win a frame in each set for his hat-trick and Shane O'Reilly was also unbeaten on two frame wins. 

Surprisingly Falconwood are yet to win a game, but they are not bottom of the table, as Hurricanes Reborn have not won and are a point behind Falconwood. 

This week a barebones and inexperienced Hurricanes Reborn had a tricky challenge at home to the very experienced and seasoned Bellegrove Flyers.

This was shown in the first set, as Hurricanes failed to rake their chances and Flyers punished them with Jason Brunton, Mark Porter, Richard Marsh, Peter Grey and Jay Arnold all winning to whitewash the first set.  

It wasn't until frame six that Ben Walsh put a frame on the board for Hurricanes, when he played some great positional shots to clear up after a rare error and foul from Flyers.  

Walsh was joined in the winner's corner for Hurricanes in frame ten however, they still lost the set, 3-2.

Hurricanes went into the last set, 2-0 & 8-2 down and it didn’t get much better, as Marsh and Grey put Flyers into double figures.

Walsh seized upon another rare error to win his second of three frames to give his team hope, but it was not to be and Flyers ended up 3-0 & 12-3 victors.

Class and experience told in the end but lessons will be learned and the Hurricanes will improve as the season progresses.

Flyers had a hat-trick of hat-trick heroes, Brunton, Marsh and Grey to help them into third place, and a point behind Rugrats.

New Eltham New Stars are the only unbeaten team in SLKPA Tier Two West and have maximum points after this week's match against Bellegrove A.

After New Stars had won the opening two frames, Alfie Southby pulled one back for Bellegrove, before New Stars took the last two frames of the set to win it, 4-1.

New Stars dominance continued into the second set, as Paul Rivers, Luke Terry, Len McCullough and Sam Baker won to make it six on the spin and an, 8-1 overall lead.

This time Jack Taylor prevented the set whitewash for Bellegrove with the tenth frame.

It looked like New Stars would record another big set victory after Dave Jandu and Baker won the first two frames of the set, but Southby and Taylor became the only winners for Bellegrove winning frames thirteen and fifteen.

New Stars still picked up maximum points with a, 3-0 & 11-4 victory to keep them top of the table. 

New Stars had three unbeaten stars, Paul Carroll winning his only frame and Luke Terry and Sam Baker who both won two frames.

That was Bellegrove's first loss of the season and they have dropped to third, two points behind Eltham Terrace Rack Pack, who played Fox & Hounds this week.

Rack Pack had the much better start, with Charlie Mehmet and Tony Frost winning the opening frames but Fox fought hard and Neil Shelton, Mel Barnes and Kerry Wyatt won the next three to take the first set, 3-2.

The second set swung one way then the other, with Fox eventually taking it, 3-2 to earn not only their first victory this season but since the last summer season.

Joe Kane won frame eleven to put Fox on the hill for the bonus point however, the last four frames all went to Rack Pack to give them the last set, 4-1 and a share of the points, as Fox had scored more sets, 2-1 but Rack Pack had more frames, 8-7.

With such a close game it's surprising that there were three unbeaten players, Tony Frost with three frame wins and Andy Mounger on two for Rack Pack and Fox & Hounds'Joe Kane also won two frames. 

Fox are now sandwiched between Farmhouse at the bottom and Academicals above them after Academicals beat Farmhouse, 3-0 & 10-5 this week.

Academicals arrived with only four players but played very well losing just two of the twelve frames played to record their first win of the season against the odds.

Three of Academicals four players were unbeaten, with Gary Mason, Greg Phillimore and Dean Williams all recording hat-tricks.

The top three in SLKPA Tier Three are all on nine points and Downham Tavern Terrors have knocked 7 Ups off the top with a, 2-1 & 9-6 win over them.

7 Ups have dropped to third, with Terrors in second , as they have three wins out of three, but top of the table are Cue-Ologists, who are also unbeaten but have one more set win after this week's, 3-0 & 11-4 triumph over Downham Tavern A Team.

Fifth played fourth, as Eltham Terrace Tigers hosted The Con Men and as expected it was a close fought game with Tigers only having four players.

They narrowly lost the first two sets, 3-2 before clinching the last set, 4-1 to secure the bonus point by winning, 8-7 in frames however Con Men had won, 2-1 in sets, so the spoils were shared, two points each and the two teams are still locked together on seven points.

Tigers captain, Chris Unwin achieved his second hat-trick in a row.

The final game of the division was between Bexleyheath Raiders and Plough & Harrow with both teams looking for their first win of the season and it was Raiders who had the better start, with James Rickner winning the opening frame, but Lynn Mather won the next to level the score.

John O’Neil and Steve Redout restored Raiders lead and gave them the set, before Karl Davies pulled one back for Plough to end the set only, 3-2 behind.

The second set was a much different affair, with Raiders whitewashing it to earn their first win of the season and the bonus point before the start of set three.

There was still a point to play for, but it didn’t look like it would be going to Plough, as Rickner with his hat-trick and Ed Green with an unbeaten brace put Raiders, 2-0 up in the set.

However, Plough were fighting hard for their first point and Rob Cranshaw and Davies won the next two frames to send the set into a deciding frame.

Fittingly the two captains, Tony Hodson and Lynn Mather, former teammates at Bellegrove fought it out for the remaining point, which went to Hodson and Raiders for a, 3-0 & 11-4 victory and maximum points. 

Despite the win, Raiders stay sixth and Plough are still roote to the bottom looking for their first point.

The Elite League looks quite different this week, so unbeaten records were lost and teams found their first win.

At the bottom of the table,Eltham Terrace Nuthouse recorded their first win of the season, 2-1 & 9-6 over Bears to lift them off the bottom and one point behind their opponents.

Taking over from Nuthouse at the bottom are Pickwick after Hotshots were too strong for them this week.

Enid's Dogungun got Pickwick off to a great start, but Hotshots punished them with Richard Chapman, Ryan Francis, Joe Kelly and Danny Kelleher winning the next four frames for a, 4-1 first set lead.

Hotshots dominance continued into the second set, as they won the first three frames of the set to make it seven in a row and put them on the hill for the bonus point.

Pickwick may have been, 7-1 down but they were still battling and Paul Gafa and Dave Pile took the last two frames of the set to pull them back to, 7-3.

Elliott Giles gave Hotshots the bonus point with frame eleven and they went on to win the final set, 3-2 for an overall 3-0 & 10-5 triumph. 

Despite being too strong, Hotshots only had two unbeaten players, Joe Kelly with three wins and George Covington on two.

This victory took Hotshots into equal second place with Terry's Allstars, who beat Duke of Northumberland, who were three places and one point above them.

Allstars comprehensive, 3-0 & 12-3 victory meant that Duke drop to fifth, three points behind the three teams immediately above them.

Sharks join Allstars and Hotshots one point above Duke after they took Bellegrove's unbeaten record off them with a, 2-1 & 10-5 triumph.

This result brought the chasing pack of Hotshots, Allstars and Sharks just one point behind league leaders, Bellegrove.
