With the summer transfer window around the corner, clubs all over the world will be looking to bolster their squads for next season.

But how do Crystal Palace improve?

We've picked out five players that Crystal Palace are rumoured to be interested in, and considered the impact they would bring to Selhurst Park.

Liel Abada

According to FootballInsider, Crystal Palace are interested in Celtic winger Liel Abada.

Abada has 26 goals in 91 games across all competitions, with 11 of them coming this season. He’s a right-footed right winger who excels at taking on his man and creating chances for his teammates.

Abada averages just over two key passes a game for Celtic, and despite being right-footed, loves to cut inside to help to create for his team.

Abada would offer a different dynamic for Palace; with Olise being left-footed and Abada preferring his right, he could provide an exciting threat for The Eagles going forward.

Gedson Fernandes

After his unsuccessful spell at Spurs, Fernandes went on to play for several different clubs including both Galatasaray and Besiktas, and according to Italian outlet CalcioMercato, Palace are interested in the young midfielder.

Most of Fernandes’ work comes from the middle third of the pitch, where he takes players on, wins the ball back and helps to supply his attackers with the ball.

Perhaps a replacement for Sambi Lokonga when he returns to Arsenal from his loan spell, Gedson Fernandes could look to rebuild his reputation in England at Selhurst Park, given the opportunity.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Former Crystal Palace man Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been linked with a move back to Selhurst Park multiple times throughout his Manchester United career.

Wan-Bissaka has recently come back in favour under Ten Hag, but previously there were questions over Wan-Bissaka’s ability on the ball, for a possession dominant side such as Manchester United.

Despite playing on the right wing during his time in the Crystal Palace youth teams, his defensive capabilities have always been the standout part of his game.

Compared to defenders in the Premier League with 15 one against one duels defended, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has the highest duel success rate at over 93%, over a 10% higher success rate than second place.

Resigning the Eagles' former player of the year would be a great signing for Palace as he offers a defensive stability that would be vital for them going forward, and one that very few right backs can offer.

Jack Clarke

The 22-year-old has eight goals and nine assists in the Championship, as well as two more goals in the FA cCup. Clarke is a right footed left winger, and although he won’t have the same impact as Zaha, may be a player to keep an eye on should Zaha leave Palace when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Clarke is a tricky winger who loves to dribble at his opponents whenever he can. He is often fouled, like Zaha, as he has won 56 free kicks this season. Clarke likes to link play, as he creates 1.6 chances per 90 minutes.

Clarke has been described by manager Tony Mowbry as frustrating, but that’s only because he isn’t the finished product. Jack Clarke is a young talent that will make mistakes, but has a bright future ahead of him if he can get it right.

Folarin Balogun

Perhaps the most interesting on this list, Footballinsider has reported that Crystal Palace and Everton are both looking to lure the 21-year-old away from Arsenal in the summer.

Balogun has been one of the brightest young players in Europe this season, netting 18 goals in Ligue 1, which is one goal behind Lacazette, and two behind joint top goal scorers Kylian Mbappe and Jonathon David.

Balogun has reportedly told Arsenal that he’s not interested in another loan move away from the club, and will only consider staying if he’s going to be Arsenal’s main man next season. So a move to Selhurst Park might be on the cards for one of Europe’s most in form strikers.
