The Japanese forward was left out of the Japan squad for the World Cup, much to the surprise of Celtic fans, but his performances have encouraged the Eagles to explore a deal.

Kyogo has a staggering 22 goals so far this season and would potentially replace Wilfried Zaha, who might be on his way out.

Celtic would be reluctant to sell their fan-favourite forward, but it remains to be seen if they can convince him to resist the pull of the Premier League.

Another area of contention for Palace would be whether to re-enter the race for Conor Gallagher, who must be assessing his options after the many signings Chelsea made in January.

The worry is that they have now been priced out of a move by Everton, who saw a bid in excess of £40 million rejected as the player wanted to stay at Stamford Bridge.
