JACK BUTLAND was spotted with heavy strapping on his hand after he injured his thumb in the pre-season defeat to Manchester United.
The former England goalkeeper looked in fine form during the match as he made a good stop to deny Antony Martial from opening the scoring.
However in the same move, Butland hurt his thumb in the process and had to be replaced by Remi Matthews in the 15th minute of the match.
The keeper was spotted with heavy strapping on his hand when he returned to the bench, but did appear to be in good spirits.

Manchester United would go on to win the game 3-1, with Joel Ward scoring for Palace with a header.
There will sure to be an update on the keeper's fitness soon, as manager Patrick Vieira will be hoping it is not a serious injury.
In that case Palace are quite well stocked with Vicente Guiata and new signing Sam Johnstone able to step-in.
