STEVEN SESSEGNON is happy to have joined the Addicks and is looking forward to getting started at The Valley.
The versatile full-back joined the club on a season-long loan deal from new Premier League side Fulham earlier this week.
The full-back has said that the style of football that manager Ben Garner wants to play was a big attraction for him and that it made his decision to join Charlton "easy".
The 22-year-old told CAFC: “Amazing. I’m happy to be here. I’ve been waiting for this to get done for a long time, so I’m happy it’s finally done.
“Speaking to the manager [Ben Garner] about the way he wants to play and how positive his message was really sold it for me.
“He wants to be attacking, he wants to go at teams and not just sit back, and that suits me very nicely. It was an easy choice.”
Sessegnon is able to play all the way up the flanks of the team and this versatility is something that will help him gain more minutes during his spell at the club.
He said: “Ever since I was young I’ve been able to play either side of a defence or even in midfield. I’m just as comfortable in the middle as I am on the left and right.
“I like to attack players and I like to get at people. It’s all about being positive. As much as I can, I like to get forward and really contribute to the team attacking-wise.”
Sessegnon is Charlton's fifth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Eoghan O'Connell, Mandela Egbo, Joe Wollacott and Conor McGrandles.
