FORMER England midfielder Carlton Palmer thinks that Arsenal man Eddie Nketiah could still make the move across London to join Crystal Palace.
The Gunner's striker is out of contract in the summer and will be free to leave the North London side.
Palace have been linked with a move for Nketiah ever since a failed move for him last summer.
Patrick Vieira is believed to be on the lookout for another striker despite having Odsonne Édouard, Christian Benteke, Jordan Ayew and Jean-Philippe Matera as his current options.
Mateta has even signed a permanent deal with the club but Benteke could be on his way out of the club in the summer as his contract enters its final 12 months.
Palmer, who used to play for sides such as Southampton and Nottingham Forest, however believes a move to Selhurst Park could still be on the cards at the end of the summer.
He told GiveMeSport: “Yeah, he’s a free agent in the summer, I don’t know why a deal didn’t get done in January, he’s obviously keen to go.
“Obviously, Patrick Vieira has pulling power, he’s an icon of the game.”
